Tin Tau Temple
Price range: $400 through $1,600
Located in the vibrant Yau Ma Tei district of Hong Kong, this Tin Tau temple was once positioned right by the harbour. Although reclamation has changed its proximity to the sea, fishermen still come here to honour the Goddess of the Sea. This temple is now a declared monument.
I brought a group of students here on a drawing excursion and I will always remember the one who decided to spend the hour we were there praying, rather than drawing.
